
This course serves as an introduction to the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes, focusing on key concepts, theories, and research methods within psychology. Students explore fundamental concepts, historical perspectives, theories, and research in psychology, and develop a broad understanding of how biological, cognitive, developmental, and emotional factors shape human experience. Topics include biological bases of behavior, cognition and memory, development, emotion, motivation, social behavior, health, stress and wellbeing, psychological disorders, therapy and treatment.
